The Fruits of Faith book cover

We count what faith asks of us. Rarely what it gives.

We hear a lot about the prayers, the fast, and the things to stay away from. All of that is true. But there is a question people rarely sit with: what does a believer actually receive from his faith in this life, before the next one?

This book answers it one situation at a time. Each chapter goes back to the Quran, to authentic hadith with their sources, and to the lives of the Prophet ﷺ and his Companions. No lectures and no threats. A calm conversation about what Allah has already placed in your hands.

Chapter One
Peace of Heart

Anxiety today is not rare. Many people wake up with a weight in their chest and no idea where it came from. They open their phones before their eyes are fully open, take in news of wars, prices, and diseases, then walk into their day already tired before it starts.

The world offers anxiety plenty of solutions. Medication, breathing exercises, vacations, relaxation apps. Some of them help, and there is nothing wrong with using them. But they all treat the symptoms. The cause stays: a heart with nothing to lean on.

1

The Verse That Names the Cure

Allah says: "Those who believe and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah. Truly, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest" [ar-Ra'd 13:28].

Notice the word order in the Arabic. Allah did not simply say that hearts find rest in His remembrance. He placed "in the remembrance of Allah" first. In Arabic, putting that phrase first restricts the meaning: in the remembrance of Allah, and in nothing else, do hearts find rest.

2

This explains something anyone who has tried it already knows. A person can get what he wanted, the money, the position, the marriage, and a few weeks later discover that the anxiety never left. He placed his peace in something that cannot carry it.

Why the Believer Calms Down

At its root, anxiety is fear of something that has not happened yet. A person worries because he feels the whole thing rests on his shoulders alone.

3

The chapter continues in the book,
along with fourteen more.

Can I read it on my phone?

Yes. It opens on any phone, tablet or computer, and also works in reading apps like Apple Books and Google Play Books.

Are the hadith authentic?
